HAPPY HALVING will be promoted on the previous Bitcoin halving date November 28 (2012 > first) July 9 (2016>second), May 11 (2020>third), april …(2024>fourth) and in the run-up to the next halving in 2028. We don’t have to sell out, there are plenty of celebrations to come!

WHAT IS BITCOIN HALVING?

The bitcoin “halving” is a once-every-four-years (on completion of every 210,000 blocks) event when the reward for adding new data blocks to the network is reduced by 50%. This schedule was etched into the Bitcoin protocol and can never be changed.

Given the strict cap of 21 million bitcoins that will ever exist, these halving events will take place until the block reward goes to zero.

Around the year 2140 the final bitcoin is anticipated to be mined.
In total there will be 32 Bitcoin halvings.
